Pitt County Memorial Hospital is an 800-bed Level I trauma center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at ECU. PCMH provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient services to more than 1.2 million people in 29 counties.
This individual will be administratively responsible for planning and directing the operation of multiple employee benefit programs and insurances for UHS, including implementation, communication and maintenance of the various aspects of employee benefits plans and programs. Ensure all activities with each benefit plan are administered effectively and in compliance with various laws and regulations. Manage activities of the Benefits department including hiring, training, scheduling and performance evaluations.
The qualified candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in Business, Education, Healthcare or related field. Employee Benefits Specialist certification or Senior Professional in Human Resources preferred. Requires 4 - 5 years experience, of which at least 2 years must be in Human Resources with Benefits administration exposure. Previous experience with Payroll/HR systems a plus.
